Grad is fast approaching. June 14th... less than two months to go!

An exciting night has been planned for you. However, help is still needed in several areas for the evening to go ahead as planned. This evening is organized and carried out entirely by parents. For it to happen, at least 50 parent volunteers will be needed for grad night. They will run the activities and games, serve food, provide security, and organize decor and prizes. In addition, we are in need of donations of cash and prizes for the evening. It is important that you speak to your parents and explain to them that this night is put on by the parents of the Magee Grad Class of 2012. We need participation from as many parents as possible to make your graduation night one that you will always remember. Please encourage your parents to email Nancy Hundal at nhundal@vsb.bc.ca for more information, to volunteer or to donate.

LPI

If you are planning on attending a BC post secondary institution (UBC, SFU, etc.) you must submit a Language Proficiency Index(LPI) result UNLESS you have a minimum mark in English 12. This minimum mark may vary from institution to institution so please check the LPI requirements. The LPI is a placement exam and your results do NOT determine whether or not you get accepted; rather, they determine the kind of English program you will be able to register for.
Magee will NOT be hosting a sitting of the LPI this spring so it is up to you to make your own arrangements to register for and sit the exam. There are lots of sittings available; please check the LPI website.
